Carter Dome trail and the AT over Mt Hight are broken out from Zeta pass (though I never did see where CDT and the AT met up, so that area might be windblown) C-M trail north of South Carter looked less broken out but still followable.
CD trail below Zeta pass is a formerly a super highway, though this past week’s warm ups saw a ton of post-holers and they chewed it up pretty well. If it warms up again then wear those shoes. I wore shoes car to car but spikes would have been ok I think.
What a great time of year to bag some Carts, this range really is made for Winter. Thanks to Erica and Frank? Fred? From Falmouth for sharing a beautiful summit with me.
