Zealand road plowed for first two miles. Treacherous walking, needs microspikes. |

Still pretty frozen. Bridges have about 3 feet of snow (in the trees). |

| Comments: |
Bluebird conditions for a Bonds traverse. Microspikes to the Zealand hut. Snowshoes above that, more for the heel risers than anything else. The trail is hard packed all the way. Between Bonds and Bondcliff spikes are more useful than snowshoes. Lots of off-trail tracks, GPS is useful to not reinforce the wrong ones. |
