All trails were very firm all day long. They are very consolidated with some of the warm temps we have had recently.
Thank you to the folks that toe kicked in steps ascending the steeps to Carter Dome. Because of their great technique, I was able to put my heel into these steps descending safely. If this technique continues, the integrity of the trail will be safer longer!! #awesome
I wore hillsounds until I started ascending WildcatA. I could not hold purchase on the steeps so I switched to snowshoes. Even though snowshoes were hard here, because of the very firm and narrow trail system, I could at least hold with the use of the crampons. The televators came in handy as well. I wore snowshoes to the end.
