Comments
Comments: Trail was well packed all the way up to the open ledges. Above that not so well packed but if you follow the trail and avoid the postholes you're fine. I had a vision though, of the first sunny warm day, this will all turn to the consistency of mashed potatoes. On the descent, nearing the last of the downhills there is a long stretch of precarious narrow sidehill traverse with a ravine beside you. I was mighty glad I had reasonably sharp Hillsound Microspikes. It was definitely a no stumble zone and I was all alone on the mountain. One minor benefit, I took my hat off and got an invigorating scalp massage from the protruding branches on the trail.
