Pemi did great but the snow was so high, it was as tall as a Bernese Mt. Dog. She looked like a land dolphin going through the drifts |

BRING OUT THE GIMP! Err, wait. I don't think that's right. Great day for a 52WAV. Angry clouds on the Presi's made for delightful pictures and views. Went up the northern Imp Trail. It looks like someone had broke it out earlier in the morning for us, but the wind was whipping and it had very quickly drifted in, so we ended up rebreaking it. It is that fine loose granular stuff that doesn't compact. About 8" of fresh pow to play in, more as you get near the shoulder of the ridge and even more in the drifts. It's very likely drifted back over as down low our tracks where obscured just about an hour later. |
