Comments
Comments: The three of us barebooted Nineteen Mile Brook Trail to the junction with Carter Dome Trail. It was snowshoes for the rest of the day from that point on.

Carter Dome Trail was in good shape until the Carter-Moriah junction. From there, the trail was a bit tough to follow as there appeared to be a few false trails. We ran into a few guys that had difficulty finding their way up to South Carter.

The upper section of Carter Dome Trail seemed to have been broken out, perhaps yesterday, but was largely drifted in today, and we re-broke it. Carter-Moriah Trail seemed untouched, and we worked our way through some pretty massive drifts on the way to the summit of Carter Dome. It didn't appear anyone had made it up from the Carter Notch Hut to Carter Dome via the Carter-Moriah Trail since the most recent storm.

Neither of the approaches to Mt. Hight have seen any action recently.

We had the summit of Carter Dome to ourselves, and it was free of wind. The snow pack was so deep that it afforded great views in all directions.
