Great day for Owl's Head. Lincoln Woods trail had an inch or two, but someone was leading the charge with snowshoes. We followed with snowshoes as well. Hit Black Pond Trail and had some fresh snow as well. First ones on Black Pond trail and for the rest of the course. Broke trail all the way to the summit of Owl's Head using Black Pond Bushwhack Lincoln Brook, Brutus, and Owl's Head Path. Luckily there was a hard pack under the 6+ inches, but Brutus all the way to the summit had tons of snow. Bring snowshoes because traffic was light Saturday and there was plenty of snow. |
