Comments
Comments: Started up the ski trails at 10 and reached the observatory plat form at 11:45. The 2 mile hike to A had previous tracks at times. The new 18” of snow stuck to the snow shoes a bit. There were a lot of branches to push thru. I used ski goggles. It took an hour and a half to reach D . At 1:30 I saw the first pair of hikers who made up to A so far for the day. The route to the going down to hut had lots of branches and the two slopes had a few tracks across it. It was a gnarly 3 miles. Give yourself extra time and energy to push thru this section.
