Started out in spikes for the road walk. Changed to snowshoes when I arrived at the trailhead. It looked like I was the first one on the trail since it was broken out. The wind caused some drifting on the exposed areas. Got deeper the higher I went. I had no issues and thought how nice this was going to be packed out on my decent.
Had the summit to myself. A short distance into my decent, ran into a young man with only spikes. Yup, the trail down was filled with divets. I tried to smooth it out the best I could. It probably didn’t mater since he still needed to come back down behind me. |
