Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Hedgehog Mountain Rd is a dirt road experiencing mud season right now. There is a very tricky part about .2 miles from trailhead (before the unmaintenced class 6 portion) that is deceivingly muddy right now. I can say from experience that you shouldn't go down this road without a 4wd vehicle right now. My Sentra got stuck on the tricky part when I was leaving. Two wonderful young ladies who live up the road helped me get out. They shared that cars get stuck on that road frequently during mud season along with some "car stuck there for days" stories. Also, they advised that there is a lot of town vehicle traffic on that road during the week that can effect travel on the road.

Comments
Comments: A lovely walk along an interesting ridge. Varied conditions including ice, snow and bare ground. Played spikes on, spikes off for a while until I got sick of it and just left them on.

I could not have thanked the two women who helped me get unstuck enough. They showed up maybe ten minutes after I got stuck. Total Angels.
