Comments
Comments: We started off bare boots. Then put on the snowshoes for the heel lifts. At about 4.2 miles into the hike we came to a point where there was a blowdown and tracks going left and straight. We added a few more tracks walking around trying to find the trail. We went back the way we came and tried again paying more attention. When we got to the spot on the trail with all the tracks we noticed a windblown track off to the right. This proved to be the right way. From here we were breaking trail on 6-8 inches of powder. occasionally we could see where someone had been before but not very often. It was very wind blown and even our tracks were covered on the way back down. Someone had come up from the south and there were fresh snowshoes tracks heading off in that direction.
