Comments
Comments: Great day with Jason & Leah. Livermore Road is groomed about 2/3 the way, the rest has a semi firm track. We laid fresh tracks most of the day, except on the ridge. Mt Tripyramid trail to base of slide was obvious and firmish. The slide was ridiculously fun and exciting. Perfect conditions to do it in. About 3-4" of slushy snow, just enough to bite into, blue underneath. The entirety of the slide was doable in just snow shoes today, we carried knee axes and at no point did i feel it would be necessary, but i'd still take it if you're a lunatic and like stuff like this. The only "sketchy" part of the slide was the top where the rocks popped through. We opted to stay to the right where there was more good snow. The ridge was hard packed, its a little off from North to Middle, but it gets you there. We laid fresh tracks over to South and had summit beers on the top of the slide. We had way, way too much fun skiing in snow shoes, butt sledding and wiping out coming down the slide (the beer helped). Truly a great day out there today. I have the stupidest grin on my face as I write this! Fresh tracks and pretty firm from base of S slide to Livermore Rd, the three water crossings were easily crossable.
