A neat loop through the eastern section of the property, much nicer than anticipated with numerous scenic beaver ponds and interesting mixed forests. If you like pond hikes, you'll love this. Both trails were mainly dry with a few areas of mud and patches of snow from yesterday's weather.
I envisioned the terrain here to be a bit flatter, but it's loaded with many minor ascents and descents. I swung out to the east via East Side Trail and returned along Pond Loop for a loop of just under three miles. |
