Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Road is posted for up to 2000 lbs. We were able to park about .5 miles in. Probably could have gone further but not sure how crusty snow/ice would be on the steeper sections. Saw one car parked way up on King Street and one flew by us going uphill as we were hiking back down. Definitely softening up when we left around 2:30.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Several, some just step over, some use rocks, one use logs and solid debris. Ones with ice bridges were getting shaky.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Greenway was pretty clean with the usual post-winter, early Spring debris. The Brandy Brook Trail alternated between blowdowns and clear open trail. Also had hard-to-find blazing in spots as the blue blazes were a dark teal so not always easy to see.

Comments
Comments: Did a loop going up the Greenway and down the blue Brandy Brook Trail so we could get both of these NH 500 highest. Walked up King Street .2 miles from our parking spot then the Greenway turned right onto a wide snowmobile trail. Put on spikes here. Trail goes up and down a few times, crossing a brook about halfway. At a high point, the trail turned left into the woods. From here to the summit of Jackson Hill, there was a mix of dry trail and crusty snow patches. At a brook crossing just before the beaver dam, the blazes get a little confusing. There is a blue trail that goes left before the brook while the Greenway continues across the brook then along the edge of the pond before turning to the right and then back into the woods. From here the trail is easy to follow again. Continued on the trail past the second blue trail for another .1 mile when we emerged at the summit of Jackson Hill: can't miss it as there is writing on the ledge just before the HOL. Wide open grassy area with pretty good 360 views. Back to the blue trail (Brandy Brook). This trail has not been used much and has lots of blowdowns and long areas of soft Spring snow. No monorail so postholes were unavoidable in places. Good news was that someone else had come through here within the past few weeks so his/her postholes helped guide us. The trail goes down pretty steeply then back up pretty steeply until it finally emerges on King Street. Took a right and went to the high point of the road. Followed a clear cut almost all the way up Healey. One final steep climb up mostly dry ground and we reached the RHP, marked by a metal beam and a flag pole with a very tattered flag. Descended the same way until we reached King Street, then walked down the road to our car. About a 6.4 mile loop.
