| Comments: |
We crushed the road walk....only to find Signal ridge trail with pristine untouched snow. It was crunchy underfoot, so our snowshoes sank under the crust with each noisy step. As we gained elevation and the temps warmed, the snow became so heavy on our snowshoes, we were barely moving! We opted to bareboot the rest of the way and made it to the summit! Celebrated with birthday eclairs for Priscilla, then put the snowshoes back on for the way down (and wore them all the way to the car leaving a clean trail behind us). Saw one other snowshoer out there today enjoying the Winter-like Spring day! |
