Comments
Comments: Been out of the game for two months and was a little surprised about how much snow is still in this area. Light traction was fine for sections of LBP (and the outlook spur) but there are bare stretches throughout. UBP was all snow and for the most part stable but a little soft. Once on ORC I started punching through to my knees and without snowshoes decided to turn around knowing it wasn't going to get any better higher up and/or later in the day (this was a rehab hike for me and the last thing I need is more rehab). Figuring (correctly) that the TMT was nice and packed from snomo use I decided to head over to Turtleback for lunch - wore spikes all the way. The TST looked like it had some previous activity but the early makings of a monorail was unstable in spots. Once there I was greeted with grey skies and minimal visibility - though it cleared up nicely by the time I got to the LBP outlook on the way out. In all it was a total mixed bag of Spring conditions.

Other than a group of four with a pooch after I turned around I didn't see anyone else on these trails today.
