| Comments: |
The Hancock trail has a firm mono rail all the way up. Skied in the first 2.5 miles, then switched to Hillsound crampons. Tempted to put on snow shoes across the ridge, but only post holed a few times. The established track between the peaks takes the route to the south-west of the regular trail for a bit, but rejoins at the saddle before climbing up to South Hancock. Any more warm temps and the mono rail may soften enough to need snow shoes. |
