Comments
Comments: There is still alot of snow on Cardigan right from the beginning of the trail. The Manning trail had the most running water in places otherwise it was snow and crustable ice. We did put on spikes after the water and kept them on until we hit the rocky ledges at the top. There was plenty of snow on top of Firescrew if you stepped off the trail. Sometimes my entire leg sunk through. The summit was free of ice and snow. We put spikes back on after we left treeline onto the Clark trail for the rest of the way down. The monorail was still pretty firm.
