Great day for a hike! There was a line of about 10 cars to check in and get in to the parking lot at the park HQ. Decided to avoid the crowds and head over to Gilson Pond. Turned out to be a great call because we didn't run into anyone until we got to Red Spot. Trails were very muddy in areas, with running water on the trails in a few places. Plenty of dry Ice in patches on Red Spot, with an impressive long stretch in one area, definitely glad we had our microspikes for that one. |
