Comments
Comments: Crampons were the appropriate mode of traction today. We started up the steep part in spikes but switched to crampons which was much better. We felt they were necessary to come down. There was some drifting up toward the top before coming out of the trees. Nothing to really warrant switching to snowshoes. Top had ice & rime. Snow was all blown off. Could switch to spikes there, but given the windchill today in the negative, we chose not to bother to stop and do that.
