Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: This is that lovely tourist attraction in Franconia Notch - the main watercrossings are bridged. Right now, there are many little streams, huge puddles, etc that you will probably get your feet wet in.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Marked extremely well. However, the gravel paths have erosion issues that the state will have to fix before this place is open for business.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several enjoying everything this area has to offer. Take care near drop offs. I believe that when this is official open they most likely need to be leashed. Check before going, I could be wrong.
Bugs
Bugs: One or two flew by.

Comments
Comments: Such a beautiful place. Nice the state allows use during the off season. Good time of year - 5x the volume (due to that sign burying snow pack melting and the recent rain) but 100% cheaper! Unfortunately, the majority of people visiting today were probably non-hikers; as nearly no one had a clue about traction. You don't need snowshoes, but there was a lot of ice. So happy we had ours! Where the Red trail divides into a loop, there is a gigantic puddle. Don't even think of walking near the edge of it, you will post hole into it. The Gorge is off limits to hikers right now. They even took away a portion of the boardwalk that goes through it, so that even if you let temptation get the better of you, you won't be able to go there.

Hadn't been here in several years. It seemed to me that there are a couple new areas that feature open views. Nice!
