| Comments: |
Beautiful sunny day with ice coated trees producing mini ice droplets. Mt Major trial and Boulder trail both recommend traction. Used microspikes. Saw one bare booter, but would not recommend due to numerous icy areas on ledges. Was going to try brook trail, but was not interested in negotiating the swamp/stream at the col between Major and Staight. No postholing if you stayed on th path, but I'm sure you would later in the day as the temps rose. |
