| Comments: |
The Cross Rivendell Trail up to Mount Cube is in great shape, some minor mud but mostly dry. The AT down the south side of Cube and most of the way up Smarts is in good shape as well, dry trail and no snow but lots of blowdowns. The last mile climbing up to Smarts on the AT from the north is under a lot of unstable snow still, with mud underneath the snow. Postholes up to the knee in places. From the summit of Smarts, the AT down was wet but ice free. I hopped on the Ranger Trail which was very wet with some standing water ankle deep near the bottom. |
