| Comments: |
Lower half of trail is almost entirely snow-free. Water crossings were manageable but look like they’ll get tougher as the snow continues to melt. About a quarter mile after the last crossing, snow was melting so rapidly it was creating a mini-stream in the trail itself, so be prepared for mud. Monorail stable but very thin in places - except for the last half mile to the summit, which was melting and prone to postholing. Bruin did awesome for his first 4,000 footer! Still working on his trail manners, so apologies to anyone he barked at today. |
