Comments
Comments: May 11 the Squam Lake Trails re-opened from mud season closures. Classic route up Morgan over to Dickey and down. Wet in areas and some mud, but nothing horrible and the trails overall were fine. Ladders on Morgan in fine shape. Some recent campfires between Morgan and Percival (right next to trail), these were spread out and dispersed to reduce chance of being used again. Percival was nice, there is still snow / ice in the caves so if you can fit through it will be tighter for a little while still. Overall a classic and pretty loop like it always is.Any blowdowns, and one larger at lower section of Percival Trail, can be stepped over or walked around. There seems to be some trail work going on, so most of this will probably be cleaned up in the near future too.
