Comments
Comments: Great day for a hike. Started at 830 am. On Georges Brook trail, snow is getting soft, but monorail was stable, but often very narrow. Was mostly in fog past the "last water stop" marker. Used micro spikes just past that point, and kept them on until the bare area near the summit. Snow shoes would not be helpful. Windy and foggy on top at around 11am. Fog began to lift and had beautiful views the whole way down. For the South Peak the monorail was very narrow, and the trail felt like more than 0.1 mile, but the reward of amazing views was well worth it. Did not wear micro spikes at all on the South Peak trail, or on the way down. Snow was a little slushy with occasional stable monorail.
