most notable blowdowns are between turtleback mountain trail and black snout. one large hardwood would need a large saw or axe. some others scattered along the route. |

black flies were annoying at times. surprisingly i noted no ticks. |

| Comments: |
trails generally dry and in good condition. a few soggy stretches. bushwhacks to middle and 2,601 were mostly in nice open woods with both highpoints having some sort of recognition. |
