Parking/Access Road Notes: parked roadside at the trailhead for the bald know trail at tuftonboro/moultonborough town line.

Trail Maintenance Notes: most notable blowdowns are between turtleback mountain trail and black snout. one large hardwood would need a large saw or axe. some others scattered along the route.

Bugs: black flies were annoying at times. surprisingly i noted no ticks.

Comments: trails generally dry and in good condition. a few soggy stretches. bushwhacks to middle and 2,601 were mostly in nice open woods with both highpoints having some sort of recognition.
