Comments
Comments: Really well marked trail. It's mostly damp but as far as the mud, it's nothing too deep and there are a fair amount of dry spots to avoid all together. About 1.5-2 miles left until the summit there is still a good amount of snow with a ton of post holing. We were the only ones wearing spikes and they definitely came in handy towards the steep .2 final ascent to the summit. Completely socked in at the top of the summit but we were able to do the full hike, from gate to gate in under 6 hours. The snow will definitely slow you down if you don't have the right equipment. We saw plenty of people doing it without equipment and they didn't look happy. It gets very deep in some parts but at this point, I feel like it's unavoidable to fall through because of the time of year and how much melting and re-freezing over seems to be happening. Great hike overall. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to start the 4K list.
