Comments
Comments: Rocky Branch Trail: nice and dry up to the height of land, where one encounters the usual mud pits. Patches of snow start right around the wilderness boundary. Very wet heading down to the stream (we only took that section of trail on the way back)

Bushwhacks: muddy with some deep, unconsolidated snow sections.

Isolation Trail: deep snow with unstable monorail. Snowshoes likely would not help for 90% of it. Given the amount of snow (still 4+ feet as one gains elevation) and many leaners/blowdowns route finding could be difficult if not familiar with the trail.

Davis Path: deep snow with a firmer monorail. Still expect some postholing.

Unless we get a very extended warm spell, expect the snow to linger on this route for at least another 3 weeks. I can't recall it being this deep in mid-May since 2009. All in all, a fun day out with friends and pups :)
