Up the standard hiking trail. Trail is fine with some running water and mud, but overall nothing to speak of. Found the last of Stinson's snow/ice near summit and little spot but still fun to find. Summit was good with overcast views from tower side and the herd path to cut view towards lake was good. Not so good was the trash on top, beer bottles/cans, cigarette butts, wrappers, TP (and similar), etc. Packed out two (2) 1 gallon bags full, but there is more. Took the snowmobile trail all way back to Lower Doetown, there is a lot of work going on with new bridges on the trail which is nice to see. Note the snowmobile trail is mucky and muddy for 50% though. |
