Comments
Comments: A great day with awesome views. Left the parking lot at the base of South Moat in the morning. Went over South and Middle Moat and ended up on the summit of North Moat. Had a PB&J and some Cheetos and headed back the way I came. Trail condition is good except down low between Middle and North Moat. There was about 2.5 feet of snow which was stable in the morning but lead to a lot of post holing in the afternoon. There was a friendly spruce grouse that followed us about a 1/10th of a mile down the trail looking for a hand out. Lots of ledge to climb approaching the summit of North Moat. You can't beat the views from these mountains on a sunny day. Worth the hike!
