Gorgeous day. Tried trail runners for first time and was pleased.
Heading up cascade link I mistakenly took the birchcroft trail but realized it as the descent got pretty steep.
First time along this route and found it really nice in terms of vistas and quiet.
Windy at top but was able to stay in short sleeves.
Second mistake of the day: ended up on red spot when I wanted to stay on pumpelly to cascade. It was a good test of trail runners on steep smooth rock.
Near the end I saw a man being assisted by a ranger and couple of good young guys who joined in. His friend at the parking lot told me he injured his knee descending. |
