Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: all streams were easily crossed though rocks are slippery.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: lots of work needed on all these trails. lower sargent is a wreck and the other trails have lots of branches down and a few blowdowns. I did throw many branches off to the side. more than anything needed is more BLAZES! this is especially so on 4 soldiers where the footway is hard to follow. it needs 4,000 soldiers to walk it out and back!

Comments
Comments: I made my way up sergeants path which got better higher up to lookout ledge(fine view) and over to 4 soldiers path via crescent ridge. walked 4 soldiers to HOL and started my bushwack just beyond eye of needle sign. the woods were mostly good down to the col and up to Randolph west and the mt. lowe sign and jar. last signer was last oct. I made my way back to 4 soldiers and went westward to its end and then back across to meet pasture path. then it was up to lookout ledge again and back down sergeants path. nice country around there, if only the trails were better. good to be back at it though and it was interesting and fun.
