Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were a couple of blowdowns on Airline this morning that someone took care of today. A couple more on the Airline Cutoff. There was a deep muddy stretch shortly before tree line that has a few stepping stones, but could use more to prevent further trail damage. The upper section of the trail could also use some re-blazing. The blazes lower on the trail look good.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A lot of happy pups on trail!
Bugs
Bugs: The bugs were annoying at lower elevations, approximately the first and last 1.5 miles of Airline. Other than that, they were a non-issue
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We found a tarp of some kind, we left it at the trailhead. Also on the trailhead sign at the end of the day was a sleeping bag, a blue hat, and a pair of sunglasses

Comments
Comments: What a gorgeous day to hike! Airline is almost completely snow free, except for a small stretch around 4,300 feet, that was relatively stable and the trail was fairly level, so we did not need spikes. There were a lot of hikers on both mountains, primarily using Airline to get up and down. The trail was wet in the middle (most of the steep section), but dry at the bottom and above tree line.
