Comments
Comments: Turned out to be a pretty nice day even though rain showers were threatening all afternoon. The trail was fairly busy but not as bad as I had expected being Memorial Day Weekend. Trail started dry with some minor mud here and there. Once higher up there was more mud and water running down the ledges. Ledges were extremely slippery where wet and even slick in the dry areas with wet shoes. Once on the ridge, I decided to visit the summit first and then hit Bartlett Mountain on the way down. Nice views from the tower although the Pressies were in the clouds all afternoon. A few raindrops started falling as I was leaving the summit but quickly blew out. Once back at the Herd Path, I made the quick out and back to Bartlett Mountain. Very easy to follow and some great ledge views into Conway just below the summit. One very muddy area with some boot sucking mud.
