Erosion above the midpoint is getting really bad; noted rootballs recently undermined in an area in which foot/bike traffic is avoiding the eroded trail. |

Black flies were not too bad this afternoon. |

Trail was generally dry, with the exception of the normal mud pit about halfway up, which is still rather muddy. Noted painted trillium and white violet in bloom. |
