Comments
Comments: Found intermittent monorail on the Avalon trail starting at 3300 feet. At 3700-3800 feet found continuous monorail and snow several feet deep all the way to the ridge. Field summit is bare but saw a lot of snow in the direction of Willey and decided to save Willey for another day. Conditions improve heading in the direction Tom and also descending A-Z where I found mostly bare trails with some intermittent snow patches. Ran into another hiker who reported a lot of snow between Willey and Field. Snow mostly solid but if it softens up it is still deep enough to be problematic.
