Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Drake's Brook was swollen, so the crossing was non-trivial. But it's not even nearly to the point where you want to consider crossing at the Rte 49 bridge. Poles will help immeasurably, but it's certainly doable with only a little thought. Go slow, and be careful of slippery rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail overall was in fine shape. Mud not withstanding. Signs are looking beat up, and some bits could stand to have blazes updated, but we had no problems with travel or navigation throughout.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Alas, not a pup to be seen.
Bugs
Bugs: Wow, there were... none!

Comments
Comments: The views were cut down by heavy, low clouds. But that's fine. The forest is covered in beautiful moss, softening all the hard edges. There aren't as many flowers as I've seen elsewhere. But wow, the moss. The mountain almost became a Dr Seuss illustration, and would have done so if someone had come along with buckets of paint in bright colors.

What photos I was able to get are on my blog.
