Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two crossings right near the trailhead. Both were crossable using slightly submerged rocks
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Spring trail maintenance day today. We raked and dug out all the waterbars (69) and cleared about 25 blowdowns or various sizes. Trail is in good shape and all clear for the summer hiking season. I will be back to brush out the trail a bit. Hobblebush down low and spruce/fir up high.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No issues for dogs
Bugs
Bugs: Oh boy were they bad today! Swarms of black flies and mosquitos.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Trail was generally dry with some muddy areas. Some mud in the usual places down low and then more mud than expected between the peaks. All easy enough to get around but it would be nice to have some more dry weather. The brook crossings were a little higher today due to recent rains but still were not too bad to cross using some submerged rocks and minorly wet feet. A large group of hikers were out today with their Wednesday group and helped remove a couple smaller blowdowns, thank you!!! Nice views from the summit with the clear skies today.
