Bugs: DEAR GOD THE BUGS!!!!! My left eye, forehead, and neck are all swollen from the black fly bites. Granted I have a much worse response to their bite than most, but I totally recommend a bug net. Fashion be dammed.

Comments
Comments: Amazing day above and below treeline. Never done Boot Spur and it is a treat. Definitely recommend it, but make sure you like going up! Got passed by a few thru hikers heading up the rock pile. They started in late February! Boot Spur was much buggier than the Ammo tr. Some snow left, but none on the trails.
