Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking in lot on Orris Rd. off of Upper Mad river Rd. off of route 49.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The brook on Welch was easily crossed rock hopping. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: After crossing the brook, there was a good amount of mud below the first ledges of Welch which could do with some bog bridges. Other than that, trail was well maintained. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few climbing up Welch. 
Bugs
Bugs: The black flies were brutal.

Comments: When you get to the top of Mt. Dickey, look east towards Mt. Tecumseh. On a shoulder of Dickey is a cairn. I made it out there, it's only about .2 miles and is pretty easy. It has great views and is much quieter than the main peak.
