Plenty of parking in lot on Orris Rd. off of Upper Mad river Rd. off of route 49. |

Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The brook on Welch was easily crossed rock hopping. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
After crossing the brook, there was a good amount of mud below the first ledges of Welch which could do with some bog bridges. Other than that, trail was well maintained. |

Saw a few climbing up Welch. |

| Bugs: |
The black flies were brutal. |

| Comments: |
When you get to the top of Mt. Dickey, look east towards Mt. Tecumseh. On a shoulder of Dickey is a cairn. I made it out there, it's only about .2 miles and is pretty easy. It has great views and is much quieter than the main peak. |
