Roadside parking at the trailhead on South Road in Lempster. The last 0.5 mi. of this road is unmaintained and rough, but passable by any vehicle with care. |

I'm not sure if SPNHF has a volunteer adopter for this property or not, but there are some issues that have been present since last year - a couple of blowdowns, trees growing into the start of the trail corridor which obscure it somewhat from the road, and the stretch from the first open ledge to the summit has two overgrown sections that need to be recleared. |

Black flies were pesky in the woods, but there was enough wind on the summit to keep them at bay. |

I always enjoy this little peak - one of the nicest summits in southern NH. Excellent views for the short 0.6 mi. climb. Lots of pollen in the air limited the vistas somewhat, but still great. I encountered a few other people coming up as I was heading down which was nice to see. |
