Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Who doesn't love starting their hike off with a refreshing dip in the Glen Ellis river? The good rocks for rock hopping across were covered, so we took off our shoes and socks. However, some other hikers (wizards) were able to get across by rock hopping. Did they fly? I can only assume.

Bugs
Bugs: No black flies, however the viewpoint on Wildcat A was quite buggy as well as the decent to Carter Notch Hut. The bug shield came in handy.

Comments
Comments: We would not suggest descending down the Wildcat Ridge trail, as it would be quite treacherous. We decided to end at the 19 Mile Brook trailhead, but had to walk along Route 16 in order to get back. We would recommend parking two cars - one at Glen Ellis and one at 19 Mile, or take the AMC shuttle back before 3 pm.
This trail had great view points while heading up to E, as well as A, and D since it is the top of the ski mountain. Worth the suffering!
