Started at 7:45am and didn't see any significant number bugs except both times I passed treeline and on the Old Bridle Path. Wore long sleeves and pants and kept moving and wasn't bothered by the blackflies despite not using any DEET. |

This was my second time doing the loop. This time I did it counter-clockwise, but IMO when the hut is open, going clockwise is better so that you can refill water at the hut and carry less water on the uphill.
Beautiful day to be out. No snow or ice anywhere so don't even bother bringing any sort of traction. |
