| Water Crossing Notes: |
Multiple water crossings on the Bennett Street Trail from the Guinea Pond Trail to the Flat Mountain Pond Trail. A few required poles to cross, water running fast. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One blowdown on the Bennett Street Trail up about 1.5 miles from the intersection of the Flat Mountain Trail. Tried to move it, but could not. It is a tree (12" caliper) that snapped about 10' up and is hanging by the bark. You can get around it by squeezing to one side. |

Mosquitoes were ferocious today, every time you stopped they wanted to carry you away. Finally got some relief about 3000' when a breeze kicked in. There were terrible in the parking lot. |

| Comments: |
On the bottom section of the Bennett Street Trail along the Swift River, when the trail turns left do not follow the water, cross to the left bank, the trail ascends the bank. Both of us missed that and had to backtrack. 2 other people on the trail today. No views, but I had been there many times before and needed these trails for redlining. No rain even though many thought that it would and bailed on he hike. Better than working! |
