Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is blazed in yellow. I think there was one blowdown that I had to duck real low to get under somewhere probably near the summit.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: They’d be fine but this place looked like rick heaven with tall grass
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitos were awful on the way up. Black flies too at the summit. I didn’t find any ticks on me which is extraordinarily surprising given all the grass on the road the trail follows.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: The trail starts in the woods to the left of the sign. Don’t go up he ATV road to the gate. It’s not the trail and ya muddy as hell. The trail comes in right after it on the left. Much of the trail follows ATV roads with high grass. About 3/4 mile in look for a small cairn on the right that marks where the trail leaves the road and enters the woods. Great views to towards the Mahoosucs, Moriahs, Waumbek, Weeks, Cabot, and Percy’s from the summit of Mount Jasper.
