Comments
Comments: Very efficient redlining trip. This is my third try at these trails since I didn't want to go up Carter Ledge unless it was dry. Carter Ledge Trail did not disappoint, very steep and many slabs, many sections to climb with hands, put poles away. Great views of Chocorua all the way up, which was good since we stopped to catch our breathe a few times. Nice easy climb to Middle Sister, new weather station since the last time we were there. Saw all of 7 people today on the Middle Sister Trail from Carter Ledge to Middle Sister. Middle Sister Trail was a nice easy walk down a little longer but better on the knees. Great bluebird day, 70's with a nice breeze above treeline. 6.8 miles of new trails with about 8-1/2 miles of hiking.
