Note: not the 4,000 footer named Owl's Head.
The steep climb up the upper portion of the Owl's Head Trail to Owlshead, in the heat, and with all the bugs, made for a surprising challenge. Martha's Mile hasn't seen too much activity recently from what I could tell, but other than a few blowdowns, in good shape: the ferns rubbed my legs for most of the trail. I enjoyed the day out. Did not see anyone else on the trail. |
