Comments: bushwhack, older skidder road, older logging roads, older woods roads and herd paths

With temps in the 90’s and threats thunder storms we got an early start this NH 2000-Footer / NH 500 Highest Peak. From our parking location we started bushwhacking south in tall wet grass crossing lots of overgrown woods roads and after a 1/4 of a mile or so we turned east and started climbing at moderate grade finally hit nice woods and heading to the north to south running ridge. Once on the ridge we turned south picked up several older woods’ roads with some ups and downs and soon hit the recognized high point.

On our return trip we followed the ridge north for its entire length, once t started dropping, we turn northwest picking up grassy logging roads and soon enough we were back to the truck
