Comments
Comments: access road, ski trails, atv trail, bushwhack, marked herd path, not necessarily in that order

Started up the access road which we followed intermittently, guided by faint tire tracks at times, some gravelly, some grassy to the first aid shed at the top of a chairlift. Missed the turn for the ATV road so bushwhacked up to the first bump, then down into a col and back up where we emerged at the edge of a clearcut filled with pricker bushes. Not good! Headed back into the edge of the woods in the direction of the communications tower. Popped out onto a trail/road which took us to the tower building and a orange tape marked herd path. Followed this until it started heading downhill so turned toward the high point at a black tape and bushwhacked to the highest bump in the woods, about 10-20' from the edge of the clear cut area. No jar anywhere so we hung our own for future peak baggers! Bushwhacked straight toward the herd path and, once out of the woods, headed down the ATV path we had missed on the way up, taking the left fork just past the fenced in area. This took us all the way back to just below the first aid shed and lift. Coming up, look for it on the right before you get to those landmarks and it will take you to the herd path! WE continued down pretty much the way we had ascended, using ski trails and dirt trails and ended up at the bottom of the second lift. Hot day! Tough little mountain!
